Project Soren is a product of Luv Mils LLC, an Oregon limited liability company (“we,” “us,” “our”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Project Soren platform and website at projectsoren.com. We are committed to transparency about how your data is handled. This policy reflects that commitment.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in using a third-party authentication provider such as Google, we receive your name and email address from that provider. We do not receive or store your third-party account password, and we do not request access to your account data beyond basic profile information.
Companion Interaction Data: When you interact with your AI companion, we store conversation history, companion memory, and emotional context data associated with your account. This data is what allows your companion to remember you and improve over time. This data is stored primarily for the purpose of delivering and improving the service.
Sensitive Information: Due to the personal nature of conversations with an AI companion, you may share information about your emotional state, relationships, health, beliefs, or other sensitive topics. We do not actively solicit sensitive personal information, and the Service is designed to function without it. If you choose to share such information, it will be processed as part of your companion interaction data with the same protections described in this policy. You can request deletion of this data at any time.
Waitlist Information: If you joined our waitlist, we collected your email address, whether you opted in to receive development updates, and the timestamp of your consent.
Information We Do Not Collect: We do not currently collect IP addresses for tracking purposes, use cookies for advertising or behavioral tracking, or collect biometric data. Session cookies are used for authentication. Should our data practices change, this policy will be updated accordingly.
Technical Data Automatically Collected: When you use the Service, we may automatically collect certain technical data, including your browser type and version, operating system, device type, time zone setting, referring URLs, and general usage patterns (such as pages visited and features used). This data is used for service operation, performance monitoring, and security purposes. We do not use this data to build advertising profiles or link it to your identity beyond what is necessary for service delivery.
AI Processing Data: To deliver your companion experience, your messages and interaction data are processed by AI models running on infrastructure we control. This processing generates internal model states, attention patterns, and intermediate outputs that are ephemeral and are not stored beyond the immediate processing session. We do not retain raw AI processing artifacts. Only the final companion response and your original message are stored as part of your conversation history.
Voice Data: If and when voice features are made available, any audio you provide will be processed in real time for speech-to-text conversion only. We will not store raw audio recordings or retain voice data beyond the immediate processing session. We will not create voiceprints, biometric voice identifiers, or any persistent representation of your voice. Voice features, if offered, will require microphone access on your device, which you may revoke at any time through your device or browser settings.
We use your information exclusively to provide, maintain, and improve the Project Soren service. Specifically:
We do not use your information for advertising. We may use anonymized and aggregated conversation data to develop and improve our own internal AI models. We will not knowingly or intentionally sell, license, or provide your data to any third party for their model training purposes. We do not build advertising profiles or knowingly sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
To deliver the Project Soren service, we use a limited number of third-party infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf and under our instructions:
What this means: Your companion's AI runs on infrastructure we control. Unlike services that route conversations through third-party AI providers, your conversation data is not sent to any external AI model provider for processing. No third-party AI company has access to your conversations.
We do not knowingly share your data with data brokers, advertising networks, or analytics platforms.
Optional Third-Party Integrations: In the future, the Service may offer optional integrations with third-party services (such as calendars, wearable devices, or other applications) that you may choose to connect. If you enable a third-party integration, data shared with that service will be governed by that service's own privacy policy and terms. We will clearly disclose what data is shared before you enable any integration. You connect third-party services at your own discretion and risk.
Your data is stored in secured databases with row-level security policies, ensuring that each user can only access their own data. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard encryption. Access to production databases is restricted to service-level credentials and is not accessible to any individual without explicit authorization.
Your data is primarily stored and processed in the United States. Web requests are served through Cloudflare's global network for performance, but persistent data storage (your account, companion memory, and conversation history) is hosted in U.S.-based data centers. If we expand data storage to additional regions in the future, this policy will be updated.
While we implement commercially reasonable security measures, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to protecting your data to the best of our ability and will notify you promptly in the event of a breach affecting your information.
Account and companion data is retained for as long as you maintain an active account. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. Upon receiving a deletion request, we aim to remove your account, conversation history, companion memory, and all associated data within 30 days.
Waitlist data is retained until you are granted access or request removal, after which it is deleted.
We may retain limited data as required by law or to resolve disputes, but only for the minimum period necessary.
Regardless of your location, you have the right to:

The Service is designed with the expectation that users are adults capable of making informed decisions about their interactions and personal data. We do not target, market to, or intentionally collect information from individuals under the age of 18. If you believe someone under 18 has created an account, please contact us at privacy@projectsoren.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete the account and associated data.
Project Soren is operated from the United States. If you are accessing the service from outside the United States, please be aware that your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the service, you consent to this transfer. We process data in compliance with applicable international data protection laws.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify affected users by email within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, or as soon as reasonably practicable. We will also notify relevant supervisory authorities where required by applicable law. Our notification will include the nature of the breach, the types of data affected, and the steps we are taking in response.
Project Soren is in early development and may introduce new features over time that involve collecting additional categories of data not described in this policy. These may include, but are not limited to, voice data, biometric interaction signals, wearable device data, calendar or scheduling data, location data, or data from optional third-party integrations.
We commit to updating this Privacy Policy before implementing any material new data collection practice. We will notify registered users of such changes via email. We will not retroactively apply new data collection or processing practices to previously collected data without explicit consent where required by applicable law.
